Red Leonardo Journal Page

I wonder if I am the only one that never has anything to say in my “art journal”?  No snippets of inspiration.  No quick quips of witticism.  No deep insights into the heart of the artist.  Nothing.  It is what it is.  There – that is my quote/wit/insight.

I started this page with some left over modeling paste on my palate knife.  I slapped it down (literally) and then a month later went crazy with some left over red paint from another project.  I picked up excess with a paper towel, if you look close you can see the texture it left.  I had scanned some Leonardo da Vinci images from a book and had them laying around so I decided the lovely red looked wonderful with the macabre da Vinci images.  The Leonardo text is a stamp from Stampington and Co.

I think the washi tape is 7 Gypsies.  The rub on is from my stash.  I highlighted everything with some Vintage Photo distress ink, including the image.  Red droplets are acrylic ink splatters.
