I’ve been thinking about the fact that I usually don’t have anything inspirational to say in my art journal. So I’ve started to collect quotes and bits of wisdom to use, and here is my first one. My favorites come from the likes of Mark Twain, Dr. Suess and George Carlin. I have no idea who this particular one comes from.
I was thrilled to use up some of my alphabet stickers here. The leaves are Tim Holtz die cut of Glassine paper, some inked and some not. The tree branches are a stencil from The Crafters Workshop. The wheat is from Hobby Lobby, sorry can’t tell you the brand.
The barbed wire is the handle off of a paper bag, with string tied around it every inch or so then cut short and painted silver. I had intended to go back and add some faux rust, but forgot. The image is actually a copy of a family photo. I have no idea who they are, but they are relatives on my father’s side. The youngest bares an uncanny resemblance to my aunt at that age.
This in Pong. He helped take the pictures.
