February Tag

I’m participating in the 12 tags of 2013 just because I can.  I looked around one day and realized that I own a lot of products that have Tim Holtz’s name on them, so I decided to play along with the tags.  Now I just need to figure out what to do with them once I make them.  I see a tag-book in my future.  I’m not a big fan of Valentines day, so here is my take on February.

The fish is Inkadinkado.  The embossing is by Cuttlebug.  The saying is Tim Holtz.  I used a slightly different technique here than Tim does on his blog.  I used my Inktense pencils to color the fish and then wet them with my water brush.  I wanted a very vibrant color and this was the easiest way to achieve it.  The fish is fussy cut and adhered with pop dots.  The cheese cloth was died with some Ranger stains.  I should have died the twine too – but didn’t.  The brad is from my stash, and I’m sorry, but I have no idea who it is from.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Hi SAm, thanks for coming over and visiting, Im so glad you did as I try to go to everyones blog but its just gotten so much. So I deff come and say hi to the people that are nice to leave a comment. I love your tag. I’m not really a tag person either so I decided to do it on a card front instead. Love your tag and look forward to seeing what you create in the future.

What a fun card! Love the colorful fish and I think the twine looks perfect left natural and mixed in.
