Compass box

I have amassed a large quantity of boxes to alter, but it intimidates me.  I’ve started small.  This box was one of a set that was a gift from my husbands employer years ago.  I think it had some candy in it.

Here is the inside.

I covered the outside and inside with paper from Carta Bella’s Well Traveled collection.  Of course I inked the edges and added some doodads.  The film strip is Tim Holtz, the bingo chip is real (gasp!) so I guess that makes it Milton Bradley & Co., the plane and boat are American Crafts – Studio Calico.  The mini domino is from Blockheadstamps.com.  I bought it there years ago.

I altered the lid with the same technique used in Turquoise Altered Book, just with different colored paint, and the feet are the same as I used in The Button Box.

Here is the end result.
