Altered Clock

I started this altered clock thanks to Eclectic Paperie: Get Altered Challenge – Clocks! for inspiration. I’m new to altered art, and still learning, as you will see.  I started with a clock I found at Hobby Lobby on sale for seven dollars.DSC_0006 I added three coats of gesso and a coat of absorbent ground and as you can see, it still didn’t cover it as I had hoped, and the colors are bleeding through.  At this point I gave up and decided that paint wasn’t going to be an option.  DSC_0011 I added some lovely Bo Bunny papers (Gabriel collection) and some torn dictionary pages (only the ones about time and clocks).DSC_0001_2 I then rubbed some white paint with my finger on top, added some coffee rings and a few rub ons and topped it all with a coat of Mod-Podge.  The numbers are Thickers.DSC_0001
