Traditional Holiday Card #2

DSC_0021I am in love with texture, and therefore embossing folders and die cuts fulfill me.  This card was inspired by Our Creative Corner:  A Very Vintage Christmas challenge where we are to use a neutral color palet.  The die cut and the embossing folder are both by Sizzix.  The background stamp is by Stampabilities.  The technique is by Tim Holtz.  If you want to learn more about it, I would recommend taking Creative Chemistry 101, it really is worth the money.DSC_0002 This is a simple card to make.  I photocopied some vintage sheet music onto card stock and then die cut it.  I added some shading with Distress Ink and then topped the edges with Distress Stickles to complete my Poinsettia.  Note – Inkjet ink will smear!  I learned this the hard way.  The lovely little brad is by Bazzill.  DSC_0003I can’t decide if I want to make a set of these or not.  My Christmas card list only has 15 households on it.  I have two sets of four made and so I’m half way there.  Thanks for popping in!

Gorgeous card! I love the beautiful distressed Poinsettia! The sugary coated edges add a fabulous touch!
