Time in a Bottle

DSC_0001  This is one of the few canvas pieces that I have ever created.  For some reason the permanency of canvas scares me to death.  I prefer the fragility and disposable nature of paper.  Several months ago I joined Limor Webbers Mixed Media Group on Facebook, but have been lurking in the shadows, feeling insecure about all the beautiful artwork everyone does there.  Today, I make the leap to actually joining in the fun.  Limor asked that we fill in the blank on with the following phrase somewhere on the canvas:  I wish I ______ and then I would be a good artist.  I put my answer front and center – save time in a bottle.  It is a good theme for me this past month, saving time.  I’m also playing along with the Lindy’s Stamp Gang February Challenge – hence the yummy colors used. LSG Feb 2014 Image Enough yammering – here are the details!DSC_0004  I used Time Travel Teal and Shabby Turbine Teal for my blue/green.  DSC_0005  The pinks were Salt Water Taffy and Cheshire Cat Cherry.DSC_0002  The neutral was Down the Rabbit Hole.DSC_0003  The embellishments were a variety of manufacturers.  I used to hoard my packaging, but have recently given up.  I think most of it is Prima.
