May Flowers – Vicky Style

DSC_0023I love spring.  It is my favorite time of year because it amazes me.  So when I saw that this months challenge over at Our Creative Corner was “April Showers Bring May Flowers”, there was no doubt that I would have to play along.DSC_0018I was originally inspired by Vicky Papaioannou’s recent You Tube post.  I have been hoarding these stamps for years, with the intention of using them on a card, but I decided to make them a spread in my art journal instead.  I’m sorry I don’t know who they are by.DSC_0019The tissue paper background and the sentiment are both Tim Holtz. The stencil for the circle texture is by Kite.DSC_0021Believe it or not, I used watercolors to color the flowers, Twinkling H2O Poppy Red to be exact.DSC_0022I hope everyone has a great week and if it is spring in your neck of the woods, get out there and enjoy the flowers!  Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I have to say that I loved your AJ Page. There is something so striking about the contrast of the blood red poppies and the soft blue background and I loved the perfect sentiment that went with it, thanks for sharing with us on Our Creative Corner. -Candice-
